Introduction To Custom Procedures
This module allows the creation of custom procedures that are not standard CPT codes but are managed by a provider or a clinic for use on the premises for items or services that will not be billed to a patient's insurance. Custom procedures are applied in the billing profile.
Accessing Custom Procedures
Click on Appointments from the main menu.
Go to the sub menu Appointment Profile settings and click on the Custom Procedure tab.
Click on the +Custom Procedure button on the top right corner as shown below.
Adding Custom Codes
Add Category as shown below.
If the user wants to add a custom category then that can be done by clicking on the + symbol as shown below.
To add a new category, enter Category Name and Description as shown below, and click on the Save button. Your category is added successfully. Once a category is created, the same can be accessed from the Category dropdown.
Enter the Procedure Code, Units, Description, and Note as shown below.
Please note, for the code itself, only upper case letters, and numbers will be accepted. It will not allow any spaces.
Enter Price, Price with Tax, Allowed Amount, and Cost as shown below.
Enter Duration and Type Of Product as shown below.
After entering all the details click on the Save button as shown below.
And your custom code will be added successfully.
Editing Custom Procedures
To Edit any Custom Procedure. Click on the Edit Custom Procedure icon under the Actions column.
Now edit the information you want to edit and then click on the Update icon as shown below.
Your custom procedure is successfully edited.
Delete Custom Procedures
To delete custom procedures, click on the delete custom procedure icon under the Actions column.
After deleting the custom procedure, the system will ask for confirmation as shown below.
Click on Yes, delete it! button and your custom procedure will be deleted successfully.
View Deleted Custom Procedure
To view deleted custom procedures, click on the Show Archived button as shown below.
Users will be directed to a page where all the deleted custom procedures will be shown as shown below.
